Kiran Mazumdar Shaw Gets Elected As Member of National Academy of Engineering, USA

Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar – Shaw has been honoured with the membership of prestigious U.S Based NAE (National Academy of Engineering). She is the first Indian Woman to get this highest professional distinction accorded to an engineer. As per the NAE official website this membership has been honoured to her for the development of affordable biopharmaceuticals and the biotechnology industry in India.
She humbly announced this news on twitter.

The NAE membership is offered to individuals with outstanding contribution in the field of engineering & technology. In 2019, the NAE has elected 86 new Members and 18 foreign members to its class.
